12 volt LED strips on 24 volt - save money 🙂 LACK box
I'm building the LACK enclosure and as I had plenty of daylight white LED strips in 12 volt rating I was reluctant to spend money or a roll of 24V 5M just for 1/2 a metre - I spent all my money on my I3 😉
So I took the required length of 12V LED strip, ensuring there was a joint in the middle of the length I needed (they have copper dot 'joins' every 3 LEDs) and then cut it into two pieces.
Take the +24V from your power supply to the first +ve on strip 1, then at the other end of strip 1, take a short wire (1 cm) to the +ve of the second strip. Finally take a wire from the -ve of the second strip (available at either end of the strip) back to the power supply 0V. Job done. each strip now has 12 volts across it with equal brilliance too 🙂

Thats very confusing text i guess.
Better say to cut strip at a half mark and connect that in series. Better if have a picture 😉

Not everyone would understand 'series' so I described it blow by blow. Picture when I have finished it tomorrow I hope.

I'm not planning to try this, but here are more details https://www.waveformlighting.com/pcb-designs/using-a-12v-led-strip-in-a-24v-system

Saving money is always good, especially now.

I've always used a step down "buck" converter for this purpose. 24v in then turn the pot down to get the voltage you want. Here's an example, but not something that I've used I haven't used this brand before.
If you don't have a multimeter you can even pay a little more and get ones with a display on them to tell you the voltage measurements.
I'm just posting as this is a low cost solution that might be a lot safer.
