When to add support

Hi

Totally newby here.

I'm using PrusaControl to convert the attached model to .gcode files to print.
I notice that, for example on part 1, there are some overhang. But how do I know when the overhang is so mutch that I need to print supports?
(I printed the treefrog and I notice that the printer is capable of printing mutch more without support than I initial belived)

Is there some manual or instructions that I should read that can tell me more about this kind of things - or is asking here and test/failure the expected approach?

Re: When to add support

I am on a mobile so cant look at your model.
Typical wisdom was sharper than 45 degrees needed support. However the prusa can do better. Especially at lower layer heights. Again the pruda can do bridgesquite well too
If there are unsupported bits. Add supports. Sometimes its better to do this manually than using supports everywhere in slicer.

Try lower than normal layer height. Maybe a couple of degrees higher filament tenperature because you are using a lower layer height.
Slo3wer printing and full fan after first layer....

Cross your fingers and hope 🙂
