Troubleshooting strategy

Hi all,

I am not so much looking for an answer to my problem as I am looking for a good way to troubleshoot what is going on. Here is what I am doing:

Prusa i3 Mk2S
Simplify3D 4.0.1 (Mac)

I have been trying to print some files for a 3dLabPrint P-51. I started trying to print just four models. The printer would complete the nine point calibration but then the print head would move to the front left corner and just stop. In the mean time, the lcd display counted up the printing percentage, eventually reaching 100% but nothing would print.

I tried this with individual parts. I tried it using the factory file for 3DPrintLab. I tired using Simplify3D's Profile for the Prusa i3 Mk2 and I tried configuring the process manually. All of these result in the same behavior.

G-code files provided by 3DPrintLab work fine. G-code files from Slic3r (Prusa edition) and PrusaControl work fine.

So it seems like the issue may lie in the G-code coming out of Simplify3D. Is there a good way to examine the g-code and determine this? I think it is likely user error but would appreciate any thoughts on troubleshooting this.

You can look at g-code with any text editor.

It sounds like you've got a problem with the profile you're using in Simplify3D.
Have you been able to print anything else you sliced with Simplify3D?

Thanks Kevin. I used BBEdit on a Mac which was great because it did an automated comparison of the working and non-working gcodes.

I am able to print other models using Simplify3D on the i3 Mk2. I am thinking the problem is likely between the older factory files and the latest version of S3D.

I think I figured this one out. I believe it is not software related but hardware related. The printer is in my garage and I was getting a ERR MINTEMP. I tried to resolve this by manually setting the bed and extruder temperatures. This works but I do not think it resets the MINTEMP error. As a result, the printer goes through its calibration but does not print.
