Slic3r error

I'm trying to print all my printer parts. Everything is turning out well on slicer except for the extruder carriage and the extruder motor... you can see what is happening. Does anyone know how to correct this?

Re: Slic3r error

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum.

Like most slicers, Slic3r is not perfect. Different slicers will produce different results, so the best thing to do may be to try a different slicer.

The alternative is to run the STLs through a fixer such as NetFabb basic.

For slicers, Cura is a good starting point. It is simple to set up and use and has the ability to print direct via the USB port.

Craftware is another good slicer, but is quite new and (I believe) currently still in Beta.

Personally I use KISSlicer - for me it consistently produces the best results, but it possibly harder to understand and use due to the many options available. I used this slicer with those printer parts without any problems.

All the above slicers are free, although KISS does have a paid-for "Pro" version, the free version does everything most people require.
