Simplify3D: Bed Temp Issues

Just starting to print a temperature tower so I flipped over to Simplify 3D to ... simplify... the process of setting per-layer extruder temperatures.

One glitch I'm noticing is that the bed heat is behaving wrongly. I have it set to 85C at layer 1 and 90C at layer 5 (PETG) in Simplify, and the Gcode agrees with that.

However, now that it's printing, I note that the display panel on the printer (as well as via octoprint) both say it's 85C and the target is 90C. The LED on the heat bed is on solid, and my IR therrmometer says its 102C right now.

I dropped the target via the Tune menu to 90C, and the LED went off for a bit.. but then came back on solid. Temps back up to 102C by measuring, front display still says 85/90.

Anyone else experience this? Mk2S running latest firmware and Simplify3D 3.1.1 with Josef's FFF.

Re: Simplify3D: Bed Temp Issues

do yo have your nozzle fan on?
I had this issue where I had set the nozzle fan to be on on layer 2 and the bed could not heat up and keep the temperature.

Also you might want to check the connector of the heatbed to the Rambo board. I had the issue where the connector had melted and did not give be consistent heating when printing ABS. Seems like quite a few users have at this issue. I ended up soldering the connections.

yep, seems to be a hardware problem. either the connector is molten, the cable is damaged or the psu voltage is to low.
check the power connector at the rambo as well.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...
