Latest firmware update (2.2.1) won't install
Hmm. I got past the Windows UAC and the ".hex file must be on same drive" prompt, to the point where the firmware updater was ready to do its thing.
But when I hit the 'Install' button, this error message popped up in the text window:
avrdude.exe: AVR device initialized and ready to accept instructions Reading | ################################################## | 100% 0.02s avrdude.exe: Device signature = 0x1e9801 avrdude.exe: reading input file "\175-RAMBo1-3a-en.hex" avrdude.exe: error opening \175-RAMBo1-3a-en.hex: No such file or directory avrdude.exe: input file \175-RAMBo1-3a-en.hex auto detected as invalid format avrdude.exe: can't open input file \175-RAMBo1-3a-en.hex: No such file or directory avrdude.exe: write to file '\175-RAMBo1-3a-en.hex' failed avrdude.exe done. Thank you
I'm wondering what went wrong and how to fix it. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hans
Re: Latest firmware update (2.2.1) won't install
Hi Hans
I have had this a couple of times when uploading from the Arduino interface.
I usually unplug the printer from the USB, restart the uploader and all is fine.
Just make sure that you are connected directly to the printer and not via a hub.

Re: Latest firmware update (2.2.1) won't install
Thanks, Peter. I'll try again, after my current print job is finished.
Cheers!
