Z- Endstop

For some reason when I hooked up my printer I have always had to lift my z-endstop to calibrate it correctly which I know this is wrong. How can I fix this to where the z stop doesn't hang in the air?

you appear to have the build plate very high, can you lower this completely and then the z endstop should go lower...
