Okay so i just got back from work and i've been itching to get these live Z dialed in..
is the Live-Z option something that you have to do all the time when you are printing or you can set it on the Slic3r?
...

..

if you've read the mentioned thread, you should have noticed that you only have to do this once. the calibration_surface_PLA_75x75@200um_v4.gcode contains the "magic" G87 command, which tells the printer that the calibration has been done and that he should remember every live z adjustment level.

you only need to mess with the adjustment again when your environmental temperatures change significant.... or if you did something that might influence your mechanical adjustment (like nozzle, pinda or pei-sheet changing).

and (as mentioned in the thread as well): keep your pei sheet clean (with 99% isopropyl alcohol... and sometimes with pure acetone, don't use any tissues with balsam or parfume).

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

Re: Z axis messing up?

I would like to update you guys on the progress regarding my LIVE-Z settings. From the last picture that i posted w/ live z settings at -200mm the printer was able to finished the 2 clips i was printing it actually felt good after waiting for 10hrs for the print to finish. Now i'm on my way to printing 4 pieces this time with current settings.

I hope this is one of the learning curve that i overcome. After these pieces finish im going to start printing the models that came with the SD card. I only tried printing the Prusa logo so nothing complicated so far.

I want to thank you guys for your support and inputs. I still have a long road ahead of me when it comes to 3d printing.
