Y belt fastener not lined with bed

I've checked and double checked the pieces and alignment. Everything looks correct but for some reason the screws do not screw into the bed and it looks like the bed is a hair to far forward and the screws can't grab hold. They aren't secured to the frame other than by tension and this causes it to fail on the xyz calibration.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

the bed is not symmetrical, there is a mark to help with orientation, have you noticed this and put it in the right place?

mine was mk1 to mk2upgrade, and i was supplied with a drill and butterfly knob, to dirll out the thread in the two holes in the middle of my mk1 bed support. is this part of the mk2 build?

Yes, both with the white dot on the x brace and with the bed. I will double check again but I'm fairly sure I made sure of that part.

Mine did not line up either. I had to make the hole bigger on the frame so the bolts would line up.

Dang, did you just drill out the frame larger and left the belt holder and bed the same? Did you get any shifting of the bed due to the screws not perfectly fitting?

Re: Y belt fastener not lined with bed

as long as the centre holes are smaller than the screw and standoff parts, you should be ok!

the four corner screws will align the heatbed!

Re: Y belt fastener not lined with bed

Well I took off the bed and y axis frame and reattached everything and it went together this time. Now the xyz calibration is telling me the xy is severely skewed but it's ok.

Does this need to be corrected even though it tells me it's ok? I have not found any method for aligning this that seems easy without buying super accurate calipers and getting the distances down to 0.1mm. They are currently sitting at 10cm on the ruler I'm using.

Now when I run the xyz calibration it fails on the initial 4 points and all I did was double check the distances and tighten them. I did a factory reset as well since I see that suggested on here. Self Test is ok, but when the xyz is run it start calibrating too far forward and I can hear the endstop clicking as it keeps hitting it.

oh yeah, the hotend isn't even touching the bed although that is what is suggested in the manual when the xyz fails. Did the paper test and it didn't even touch it.
