Re: Y axis bearings are very loose

Hi Dale

Mine have been in place for about 5 months now with almost 24/7 printing and no play on the Y chassis.

I believe they are of Chinese origin and therefore the quality may be quite variable. I do consider the bearings as consumables and have about 30 bearings in my spares cupboard (I also have a Chinese clone which goes through bearings very quickly).

Re: Y axis bearings are very loose

Hi Dale

I agree that it is very premature wear. Just a thought: are the ends of the Y-axis belt aligned properly (the idler and motor)? If one or both are slightly out, then it could induce such wear.
