When is the fan supposed to turn on?
I have been finally getting some successful prints the past couple of days thanks to FW 3.0.6RC2. However I noticed that my fan to cool off the extruded material never goes on. In Simplify3d, I created settings where it wouldnt turn on till after layer two, to help with warping (Im printing with PLA but still had warping issues). The trouble is, after watching it print for most of the day, I notice the fan never turns on at all. I am wondering if I messed up my Simplify3d settings, or the fan is simply not needed for my prints and Simplify3d is not activating it, or if my fan is broken lol.
Here are my Simplify3d Cooling settings:
Thanks for all the help guys. I have learned so much from these forums in the past month!

The fan should be burned on after the first layer or so when printing PLA.
You can test the connection of the fan using the LCD panel; there is an option to set the fan to a value 0 to 255. Just remember to press the knob after selecting the setting. If it doesn't work, then you need to test the fan. Unplug from the RAMBo and attach it to a 9V battery. If it still doesn't work, reverse battery polarity and if still not, then replace the fan.
If it doesn't work from the panel but it does with the battery, then you had the connection on the RAMBo wrong.

Thanks a ton Peter. I will do these things and report back. I am pretty sure its one of the issues you mentioned.

Re: When is the fan supposed to turn on?
Peter,
I did what you advised and you were correct. I had the polarity wrong, and for the print fan, it needs to be installed with the red wire facing toward the thermistor wire. I had it backwards.
I hope this helps anyone in the future lol.
Thank you,
