Trouble after upgrading to 3.0.12 firmware

I thought I did something wrong the first time I calibrated after flashing, so I did it again, same result. Every time I turn on my MK2s it says I haven't set Z height. I can run the calibration, then Z height calibration, nothing clears it. The concerning thing is that I haven't touched my PINDA probe since assembling my unit many months ago, and it's been set on .090 live Z and perfectly dialed in. I flashed, and the first time I calibrated it was more like 1.7. If I turn it on now, and try and print it will be too far away, and I will have to push Z height down again. Going to try and go it ALL again, but don't know what to do different. Not that it's required, but my MK2s is hooked up to a UPS with a fresh battery (replaced it the same day I did my firmware upgrade).

Any ideas?

EDIT: so, I reset it, and did XYZ again, and now printing my calibration print, I'm back at 0.090. We'll see if it sticks after this, or if it asks for me to set it still after powering off and on.

Same thing. Seems to be fine until I power it off and back on. My Z height will be there, 0.090, but the error comes up every time I power it off and on.

Any ideas?

Wow, alright, leaving this here for posterity. YOU HAVE TO PRINT V2 calibration, that really should change IMHO. Printing the 75mm test square from these forums has been my defacto calibration, because it's way better in basically every way. Apparently if you do not print the included V2 calibration, the printer knows, and won't ever clear that message. As far as why I had problems with my Z shifting, jury is still out on that one. I waited almost 6 months to upgrade my firmware, and now I wish I hadn't.

The test square (V4) does have the gcode to turn off the warning, if you got it from Jeff's thread.

Some people who have gone from older versions of the firmware have required a "factory reset" and re--install to get it to work correctly.

The latest firmware has some very good advantages, so it is worth the upgrade.
