Trapezoid motor nut thread too tight
Hey all,
I've got a weird issue. One of my trapezoid motor nuts threads is too tight that the Z-motor actually can't step at all.
I did troubleshoot and isolate to make sure that this is the problem. I ran the calibration and on the Z-axis calibration, one side would move down while the other stayed put. I thought it was a tight motor cap so I loosened those but that didn't change anything. Then I switched the trapezoid motor nuts and I got the same issue but switched to the other Z-motor.
When I take out the trapezoid nut and just hand screw it alone, it does feel way too tight. I was wondering why moving the Z-axis was such a workout on my forearms.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I have an Anet A8 that I'm thinking about stealing the nuts off of and trying that. I could try to print new nuts, but I haven't printed on that in a while. I was also thinking of taking a drill and slowly filing the inside, but that just seems like a bad idea.

why not going for the original by davetr (david.t2) ?
used that design for my own mk2 printer, printed in petg (with my genuine i3 mk2).
works flawless for more than 8 months now.
