The Heatbed important noise y axis

Hello,
Could you tell me why when the heatbed moves on the Y axis it does so with a loud noise.
This happens when it moves quickly to initialize printing and when it moves quickly in the printing.
This noise is very strong and very unpleasant.
I disassembled and reassemble the heatbed taking care to correctly position the cylindrical bearings, to fix them without too much tightening.
The axes there are strictly parallel.
The belt is stretched tight and aligned
The noise resembles a grating.
I slightly greased with a sewing machine oil
What else?
How can this noise be produced?
Thanks for help.

Ok, possible causes - i know you already eliminated some of them but for sake of completeness:

- make sure your frame is as parallel as it gets. (I see you already did)
- instead of slightly oiling the bearings, pack them with a metric ton of lithium grease.
- don't over-tighten the zip-ties holding the bearings
- maybe try lowering the y-belt tension a bit. While you're messing with the belt, another good test would be to see if the bed moves smoothly without the belt attached.

This is the point where I gave up and ordered new bearings. Printer is silent now.

Hope this helps a little..

Edit: I forgot something: If the belt ends stick out of the y-belt holder too far, they could rub against the other side. Makes an interesting rubbing noise as well as introduce some vibration (and could possibly cause problems with the end-stop). But I think the noise you describe is different from that one)

Stephan,

What bearing did you use to replace the stock bearings and where did you buy them?

Out of the box, our bearings seem to be louder than they should be.

Re: The Heatbed important noise y axis

What bearings are best seems to be the topic of many heated debates. I stopped following the argument after I found a solution I am happy with.

This is what I am using:

For Y-Axis (bed) I am using Igus RJZM-01-08 and matching Igus AWMP rods, ordered directly from Igus.
(Note: RJZM-01-08 will not fit X or Z-axis properly, they are 1mm too big in diameter, if you plan on swapping these as well, try RJ4JP-01-08 for X and Z)

Alternative:

Another option that worked for all axes would be Misumi. I tested Misumi LMU-8 (shielded), another popular choice would be Misumi LMU-N8 (unshielded). I stuck with Igus in the end and the Misumi ended up in another printer. Nothing wrong with these Misumis, they're gpood bearings, the other printer works very well with them.

Note: ordering from Misumi in Europe can be a royal pain in the rear end. Ordering from Misumi US is fine.
