[SOLVED] End switch cables have different length: is this important?

Hi!

I am currently assembling the i3mk2. So excited!

The end switches have different cable lengths, but are not labeled. Does it matter which one is the Y end switch? Or will I have to swap them later if I use the wrong one now?

Hi Henrik,

You're in a very exciting phase, I wish I would be there 🙂

Regarding the cable length, maybe you could use the picture to compare the endstop cable length and the stepper cable length to guess wich combination is the more logical, once the basic cable management is put in place:

http://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/3.+X-axis+assembly/105#s1588 (Step16/17)

and

http://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/2.+Y-axis+assembly/104 (step 25, it seems that this endstop cable looks longer)

I'm like Jon Snow, I know nothing.

Thanks!

The X-axis cable lengths motor vs. end switch seem similar to my build. Let's see if it works.

This is in very early kits (first 3 days), it shouldn't matter which one you use where. Now all the cables are same length. Sorry for confusion.
