Slic3r generating banding using prusa profile?

I've been trying to print out a good benchy and my results from slic3r made me wonder if my printer is ok. The first print had severely misaligned layers, the second has a bunch of banding:

In both images the slic3r boaty is on the right. The leftmost grey one was printed at 120mm/s using cura.

They were both sliced using the same version of slic3r and the same settings (.15mm optimal).
I would have thought it was a printer assembly problem, except that Cura seems to do a much better job. The cura sliced benchy suffers from some zits, but the layering looks awesome.

Has anyone had problems with that and found a solution? Alternatively, does anyone have suggestions for cura settings to remove the zits?

Also, the pre-sliced objects on the sd card look great:

Here's my latest print using cura. The new experimental coasting setting helped to get rid of most of the blobs/zits
