Reprap I3 "retraction" issue/feature

Hi there,
I've built my first printer just last night, and after a few struggles reading the instructions, it all appears to be functioning.
I am facing an issue of some sort of "retraction" issue/feature, where it is jittering the output every 10mm or so.

Is there any way to stop this entirely? for what i would like to do, I would much rather have a consistent flow.
The settings I've played with to try and fix this was flow: 150%, speed overall 20mm/s, extruder 200c, bed 60c using cura.
Any help for a newbie would be massively appreciated.
Thanks!

in the mean time, try the Prusa Research edition of Slic3r in preference to Cura, it may help you help yourself!
