Replacement Part?

Hi All -- I was assembling my i3 MK2 kit and came across a defective X-carriage printed part; it appears to have been broken as I received it. I sent Prusa3D a message yesterday via their web form about a replacement part, and emailed first thing this morning, but haven't received a response as of yet. Would like to resume my assembly ASAP -- is there a better way to contact them?

Thanks much, looking forward to becoming active here on the forum. : )

Re: Replacement Part?

You should try the online chat, in the mean while you can continue your build if you use super glue on the part that is broken, depending on how the part broke. Maybe post a photo of the part.

Re: Replacement Part?

you can glue the part together, either with super glue or UHU plast spezial.
the UHU will give you a little bit more time to align the parts when fixing them together.

then you can complete the kit and print a new part (if you think the fixed one won't last very long).

yes, simply use the chat at the sales section.

Thanks for the suggestions! Right after posting this I found the live chat function. Shane was really helpful and suggested I could glue it with acetone. Kind of embarrassed I didn't think to glue it... : ) Anyway, they are sending a replacement just in case, but in the meantime, going to give the acetone a try.

Re: Replacement Part?

Also, my local library has a public 3D printer anyone can use. The part prints fast. There may be local 3D printers who will do the part for very little cost.
