Reading the detail on XYZ cal measures

I'm trying to improve my calibration because my bed isn't straight.

In the support menu, i ran the detail on XYZ cal measures and my results were'nt close to perfect.

Min y axe :
Left: 5.71mm
center: 5.62mm
Right: 5.53mm

Angle:
19 percent

I recalculated everything and im still within these ranges.

How close are you guys to perfect calibration and how do you manage to get accurate measurements?

I have a 0.01 digital caliper and i always feel stuck or unable to take proper measurements.

Re: Reading the detail on XYZ cal measures

I never checked those values before since the XYZ calibration was telling me that my axis were perpendicular.
But I've checked for you just now and I have :
Left: 2.32mm
Center: 2.34mm
Right: 2.35mm

Skew: 0.00°

The only one that really "matters" is the skew angle. The others are just linear transformations which represent the variance in the X and Y endstop trigger points; these are made up from slight differences in the threaded rod lengths, microswitch mounts and so on.

If you want to be bewildered with details, redo your calibration but from octoprint with the gcode M45 V2

@my genuine i3 MK2:
Left: 1.97 mm
Center: 1.90 mm
Right: 1.84 mm

Measured skew: 0.00°

@my selfbuild clone:
Left: 1.71 mm
Center: 1.63 mm
Right: 1.54 mm

Measured skew: 0.00°

by the way: by recalcualting everything, nothing would improve. you need to correct the assembly physically.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...
