Problem with calibration after printing fine for a few days

I finished assembling my printer 3 days ago and went through all the calibration processes. At the end of it, I got a result tha the x/y axis was slightly skewed but the software could compensate for it. I then commence with printing a few test pieces and it went smoothly with no hiccups. Among these include the Prusa logo, the frog (sliced with variable layer on slic3r), as well as some chibi models. All good with no issues.

However, when I fired it up today for another print, it suddenly had difficulties mesh levelling, unable to detect the 4th point. I tried a few times to no avail, so I went back to xyz calibration. This time, it got stuck at the 4th point as well, which in both cases would be on the left, although IIRC the mesh levelling 4th point is top left, while xyz calibration is middle left.

After a few unsuccessful attempts, I tried updating the firmware. This time, it cleared the initial 4 pt calibration and went on to the 9 pt calibration. All was good until the extruder crashed into the bed at the 4th point (middle right), creating a deep indent in the bed. I tried adjust the Pinda probe lower and reattempting the xyz calibration, this time it got stuck at the 3rd point (middle top) of the 4 pt calibration. I've tried a few times with the same results and have given up.

Can anyone offer me some ideas on:
1) Why I can run into calibration difficulties about 5-6 prints in, when the printer has not been moved or shifted in any way?
2) What can I do next to get the printer going again?
3) Will Prusa be able to replace the damaged bed?

Thanks a lot guys. It's my first kit, so please be gentle.

You should contact the support, this may be a faulty PINDA probe.

I had the very same issue! The printer worked fine for two months. So started to crash on sensor 4 in the bed when calibrating XYZ. I ruined two PEI sheets. Spend several hours talking with the support and nothing helps. Support sugested maybe my PINDA was defective, but I desagreed. How be defective only in sensor 4? They send me a PINDA which solve nothing. I only fix the problem buying a new heatbed (U$97) from Prusa.

The heatbed is not covered under warranty?

I emailed them and got the response that my Pinda probe was positioned incorrectly or the Y axis was skewed. They totally ignored the fact that it could print fine at first.
