prints with text are mirrored [SOLVED]
Hello,
My prints with text are mirrored , anyone have an idea what cable is wrong or something else?
Regards,

Re: prints with text are mirrored
Hi Ron
I very rarely print symmetrical objects and they all print as they should.
I don't think it's likely to be a printer issue. Can you upload the stl file you are printing (zip it up and post as an attachment)? And possible the gcode file.

Re: prints with text are mirrored
OK, that's weird. The STL is fine and I have put the GCode through a simulator and that also appears fine.
Does this happen with other prints?
Can you upload a photo of the result?
I note that you have an extrusion width of 0.45mm set. Maybe setting this to the nozzle width (0.4mm) may improve print quality (but not the mirroring!).
Both my printers are busy at the moment; I will put the gcode through the Prusa in the morning.

Re: prints with text are mirrored
Thanks peter to look after this.
I have the
Original Prusa I3 Plus 3D printer KIT bought, maybe there is something wrong when building the printer , tomorrow I look again after all.
I am new to 3D printing, and have made a few experiments , but without text.
These results were good.
I post the pictures tomorrow .

There is a possibility that you have the X and Y axis motors plugged into the RAMBo the wrong way around.
I believe the connectors on the those two motors can be inserted either way round. Check that the wire colours are in the same order as the Z motor wires. - Order is black, red, blue white and all should be the same. Re: prints with text are mirrored
I downloaded and printed this fine.
I would think it is a slicer issue. Which slicer are you using?
Re: prints with text are mirrored
Best is to make a short video of the auto home sequence and put it on google drive or dropbox, so we can check if all the axes are connected properly and in right orientation 🙂
Re: prints with text are mirrored
Hi
I checked the cables and they all are secure.
I use the program Slic3r with the settings of Prusa .
Attached is a picture where you can see where the color change happens , which is different in the video. With me left behind, the video front right.

Re: prints with text are mirrored
Sorry guys,
it was my fault.
I have changed the x and y axis. It looks like it 's going well. 😳
All beginnings are difficult.
Thank you for your contribution.
