Printing Issue
Hi all!
I'm having difficulties printing this part:
As you can see from the image above, there is an extrusion excessive on the same place.
I've checked the calibration of the corners with a regular business card and that's ok.
Could someone at least give me a hint on what's happening?
THX
Re: Printing Issue
Hi Manuel
Looks to me as though you are extruding way too much filament all over, but especially at the seam.
Have you got the slicer set up properly for the size of filament you are using? Have you precisely measured the filament diameter (both directions along at least 2 metres length)? Does the slicer have an incorrect flow rate tweak? Have you calibrated the flow rate?
Put the gcode file on this thread and I will have a quick look...

Re: Printing Issue
Hi PJR
Have you got the slicer set up properly for the size of filament you are using?
Yes, 1.75mm
Have you precisely measured the filament diameter (both directions along at least 2 metres length)?
I've checked that and it's correct.
Does the slicer have an incorrect flow rate tweak? Have you calibrated the flow rate?
I didn't change those parameters, only changed the temp to 240°C. I'm using the preset "NORMAL"

Re: Printing Issue
Hi Manuel
I presume 2 things: 1. that you are printing with ABS and 2. that what you posted are the settings for your slicer?
If you can post the gcode I will be able to see from that just what your slicer is doing, assuming that your slicer is well-behaved and comments the gcode file properly...
You didn't mention whether you have calibrated the flow rate, which appears to be set on 1 (100%). All printers are different, and I have found that mine only requires a feed rate of 89%; a significantly smaller amount of filament being fed than default.
What looks to be happening is that the hot filament is squishing out where it can, with more able to flow out on a Z-lift. This is why I think you are feeding too much...

Hi Peter
Here is the GCODE:

I'm printing with ABS, and posted part of the GCODE.
You didn't mention whether you have calibrated the flow rate, which appears to be set on 1 (100%). All printers are different, and I have found that mine only requires a feed rate of 89%; a significantly smaller amount of filament being fed than default.
I didn't calibrate the flow rate. I'm gonna reduce that parameter.

Re: Printing Issue
OK, your extrusion width is set to 0.45mm; set that correctly at 0.4mm You are pushing through 12.5% too much material.
Try printing again with extrusion width @ 0.4mm, see how it goes and then you can lower the flow rate if necessary.

I made the change to 0.4mm and now is printing perfect!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!
