After several re-calibrations (full XYZ), I got it working once again.
But it still fails way more often than it used to, usually failing in the last corner of the 9 (rear siide in my picture, hitting into the bed bit. Which it does not do while running regular z-calibration.

Running the V2 calibration works perfectly, it's just when doing the calibration before print it hits the last corner.

I have not got my kit yet. That being said I quit using inductive probes and mesh bed leveling because the probes are not rated for the heat they have to endure from the heated bed on large prints at high heat. It seems to make them fail.

Re-calibrating the distance from the probe to the bed fixed the issue, but I still have no idea what those corners are named.

With respect to heat & the PINDA. You'll find a few reports here on the forum where in order to make the PINDA work reliably, people had to make sure that during the heating phase the Pinda is a fair bit away from the build plate ( ~ 100mm or so seems fine)

I had the same problem, I ended up editing my end script in my slicer to move the extruder all the way up before turning the motors off. So when you start your next print, its already way up there. Or you could manually move z-axis before you start a print / preheat the bed. The point is: don't have the PINDA sitting right there on the heatbed while preheating.
