Orientation of motors in Z-axis construction

I am constructing the Z-axis ( http://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/4.+Z+axis/89 ) and have reached Step 5 "Placing the Z-motors".
It is unclear to me how I should orient the motor in order to properly guide the wiring. I'll ask the question for the motor on the left side but of course the same issue applies for the motor on the right (mirror image).

Method A: Based on the pictures in the step-by-step I believe the wires should be on the bottom when placing the motor (so the side where the wires exit the motor is faced towards the frame).

Problem is that I am afraid there is not enough room for the wires to properly make the required 90 deg angle to go to the bottom and would cause the motor not to be 'straight' (aligned vertically). Note that the picture was taken without the motor having been pushed al the way down (as it should be when installed). Can anyone confirm it should be oriented like this?

Method B: make wires go to the 'inside' of the frame but now I don't know if they would be long enough...

Would this work? In this way the wires for sure do not block the proper vertical alignment of the motor but perhaps they are now too short...

Additionally I just wanted to notify that the parts are slightly different from those shown in the step-by-step guide. The parts shown in the guide are much more 'open' (I believe the new one is indeed better 🙂 ) . Step 2 "3D printed parts" shows the actual (current) part but the rest of the pictures shows what is probably an older version of the part.

I think that this picture https://d17kynu4zpq5hy.cloudfront.net/igi/prusa3d/rDKGNWLB1pNdQNcu.huge should answer your question.

Although I have the motors with the wires exiting towards the centre of the printer and that works OK.

Thanks for your answer Peter. That is the picture on which I based my assumption that this is 'the way it is intended to be' (Method A). The problem is that the picture also shows the 'old' (orange) part and I am just unsure if it should be done like this with the new part as well. I am afraid to damage the wires coming out of the motor when I push it in de new part (it is a very tight fit). Perhaps I worry too much... 😉

Re: Orientation of motors in Z-axis construction

If you are worried about it than do as I have done and have the motor wire exits pointing towards the centre of the printer.

It's just as neat and it's been working for me for a few months.
