Nozzle crud?
I've started to notice tiny bits of brown that are appearing in my prints. It doesn't happen very often but because I have been using clear PET+ they are noticeable. So I took a very close look at my nozzle and it has a bunch of brown crud on it. I think it is probably burnt filament.
Here are a couple of pictures. You can see that it isn't leakage around the threads of the nozzle because that part is clean. It looks like ooze that filament wiped off during the print process itself.
So my questions are:
Is this normal?
Should I worry?
Should I clean the nozzle and, if so, what's the best approach to that?
Any thoughts and advice will be very much appreciated.

Perfectly normal, especially with PETG. What I do is warm it up to printing temperature, unload the filament and then get a small wire brush and clean it off. Just be careful not to short it across the heater wires that may be exposed as it will blow the fuse on the board.

Yes, sadly, that is common with PETG. I love the the properties of parts printed in PETG, but there are quite a few painful steps required to get there successfully.
