New slic3r prusa edition and first layer

I'm using the last slic3r prusa edition 1.31.6
I've noticed that compared to the previous version, the first layer is now 0.2mm (it was 0.15mm before).
So I adjusted my live Z adjust according to this new value (I'm using my own square calibration gcode). When I slice my own STL files, they are all sliced with 0.2mm value for this first layer. Everything prints correctly.
But I also want to be able to print the Gcodes files from prusa, and the problem is that when I look at the Gcode provided with the drivers 1.7.5, the first layer is still 0.15mm. Even the V2 calibration is configured with 0.15mm. So I think if I try to print those Gcodes, there will be a bad first layer (it's a 50micron gap)?
Am I missing something or should I readjust live Z adjust each time I'm printing my own files or prusa files ?
Thanks for your help. I know Peter is an expert in Gcode and could probably advise me.

Re: New slic3r prusa edition and first layer

I wonder if i got something wrong here.

I thought that, when i home the z-axis with live Z adjust, my nozzle should be right on the bed. In that case, the first layer height is independed from the live z adjust. When i move my z-axis to 0.15mm it should be at 0.15mm with live z-adjust and without it is at 0.15mm-(live z adjust).
For example i have a live z adjust = -0.300mm. It is at 0.45mm.
So when my first layer height is 0.2mm and z-height is adjusted, it should be at 0.2mm.
Do i miss something?

Cyrille

You should not need to make any printer adjustments when printing with a different first layer height. The slicer will simply instruct more filament to be extruded to take into account any difference.

More material extruded on first layer gives a better stick, so I guess that's why PR have made the change.

Thank you henning and Peter for your answers.
Henning I think you are right, that's the way to understand it. Otherwise, it becomes very difficult to calibrate Z for each gcode and each 1st layer.
Peter, thank you also for your answer, it seems logical.
