MK3S firmware detected on MK3 printer
After the upgrade of the problem-free MK3 kit to the MK3S, the problem recurs. After each start I have to confirm the message: "MK3S firmware detected on MK3 printer". What did I do wrong? The printer prints as well as before.
RE: MK3S firmware detected on MK3 printer
did you do a factory reset with data clear?
RE: MK3S firmware detected on MK3 printer
I followed the instructions ( https://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/5.+Preflight+check/1063?lang=en). I reset nothing.
Thank you for your willingness to solve this problem with me.
RE: MK3S firmware detected on MK3 printer
the firmware version check is new in 3.8.0, the upgrade instructions are from before 3.8.0
RE: MK3S firmware detected on MK3 printer
I've already found a solution. The cable has been set incorrectly at the factory. The white wire was second from the left. Correctly, it should be first in line from the left. I reset it and the message no longer appears.

FW 3.8.0? Latest version I can see in the downloads is 3.7.2, have I missed something or is there a new FW out?
RE: MK3S firmware detected on MK3 printer
There is 3.8.0 rc available at https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/releases . Its a release candidate so not finished and looking at the issues list on the github page you might want to wait till the proper release is out. Unless you want to bug hunt 🙂
