Mk2s upgrade kit, smooth rods and bearings are a disaster

I purchased the upgrade kit in hopes of reducing the noise

How the rods and bearings are unusable, none of the bearings move freely over the rods and it takes some force to move them

This 60 euros wasted, not happy about this 😡

I wasn't impressed with the bearings either, and ended up replacing them all with the misumi versions after a month. I am very happy with them so far.

However, you might try cleaning them out. I think they come with a packing oil of sorts to preserve them, and as a result many of the bearings don't roll. Get that out of there and replace with a couple drops of your favorite lubricant and I bet you see an improvement. I used a can of brake cleaner but anything (that doesn't attack the plastic) should work--drop them in a cup of solvent or isopropyl. Then dry (I used compressed air) and lubricate with a real lube.

I won't call the stock bearings useless, but I quickly replaced them all with drylin RJ4JP. Combined with some printed vibration dampers with an adhesive neoprene rubber sticker on the bottom of each corner and the printer is difficult to hear in the next room. Impossible to hear if there is any other audio source such as a television.
