mk2 -> mk2s upgrade - pinda nut removal problem

I'm at the disassembly stage:
Step 8 Extruder disassembly (Part 1)
"Use pliers to release the nut holding P.I.N.D.A. sensor. Proceed carefully since this nut is glued!"

I used blue loctite. I don't see how it's possible to remove the nut since the probe rotates when I attempt to rotate nut. I tried using a razor to remove the loctite, what else can I do?

You have my sympathy...

I have not glued any part unnecessarily, so I didn't suffer this issue. The only thing I can suggest to to hold the probe body with pliers and hope that the probe survives.

Blue Loctite should be easily removed mechanically as said on many websites. You just need the right tools. A top and bottom spanner didn't work for me with my Blue Loctited Pinda probe nuts. Try using a heatgun. It worked for me. I borrowed the heatgun from my wife. She does crafts and I use it mostly for heatshrink. Its a gentle heatgun.

And once you get it off, grind down a flat washer on one side and add that and a lock washer under the nut. Screw that loctite!

That's what I ended up doing, thread got partially dented. Hopefully it should still screw in. Thanks.

Interesting, didn't realize that would work.

Update protect the Pinda probe rubber end with aluminium foil if using a heat gun to free the Pinda Probe. Most Loctite secured mechanical parts can be freed by using heat. Red, Blue and whatever.
