Misc Part
After building a few generic printers on my own I decided to buy they one assembled. The down fall to this is you just don't know wheat you don't know. Tonight we started to print some parts for our RC car project and a little, what seems like a screw fell onto the print surface. It was hot, so must be close to the hot end, but I cannot find where it goes by inspection. Does anyone know where this goes? I have attached a photo.

I have been looking over the assembly instructions and it looks like the locking screw for the extruder, but mine is securely in place.

It indeed looks like one of the stepper motor lock screws (e.g. http://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/5.+Extruder+Assembly/295 , Step 8).
Did you check all the stepper motors? Since they can get quite warm, the screws can get warm, too. So it does not necessarily come from somewhere near the extruder...

Could it be the hot end thermistor retaining screw?

I just checked the steppers and they all have their retaining screws. I did not see a retaining screw specifically for the thermistor, I see one holding in the heating element, that one is in place. I am looking at an image to see if there is something I am missing with thermistor retaining screw. I have attached off the website. Thanks everyone for the help, still looking for some ideas. I am now wondering if perhaps when it was put together if they had lost a retaining screw and it is just now falling out.

that appears to be the old hot end style,
the new hotend has a thermistor cartridge rather than thermistor bead.
the grub screw holds the thermistor in place

PS Prusa had reliability issues with the plug and socket in the thermistor lead, so they have omitted it...

Thanks Joan!, you were spot on. I didn't see the screw hole when I looked, but after more inspection it was indeed the retaining screw for the thermistor. Thanks you everyone for your help, I can now print again. I was holding out until I know what was going on.
