Major Issues after most recent software update
Is there any way to go back? I successfully (ha) updated to the most recent software release. Tried for the first time to print today - first it says endstop wiring is bad - opened controller all the cables correct shut controller - checked for pinched cables, etc. Tried again - still said it. Powered down/up/unplugged - finally self test runs fine - then to xyz calibration - four points w/paper fine - no movement - goes to nine point check - on second or third point it proceeds to drill a hole in my printbed - through to the copper filaments! None of these issues existed prior to update. I checked my pinda probe before running the xyz calibration and it was above the nozzle by the recommended tie-wrap. So now what? Is there any way to go back to the prior release which, for me, was trouble free and tested, aligned, etc. perfectly? Frustrated.
Re: Major Issues after most recent software update
Oh and verified that pinda was straight/not canted as well.
Re: Major Issues after most recent software update
Try lowering your PINDA to be approximately the thickness of a credit card higher than the nozzle. A zip tie is a bit too high.
You might want to check out a recent FAQ posted here:
The latest firmware calibration is different (better) than the old, and you might have been right at the edge.
To answer your other question, yes you can roll back to prior firmware at anytime, but that is not your problem in this case.
