LCD will not power on
Just finished building my Mk2, and powered it on. There's LEDs on the electronics board, but the LCD is not turning on. I ensured that the cabling matches 1/1 and 2/2 on the LCD and the board, and I made sure to align the red stripe with "1" on the electronics board.
Ideas?
Re: LCD will not power on
Flip the cables on the board. For some unexplained reason the red stripe on these do not go to the 1 pin.
Re: LCD will not power on
Thanks. I've been building computers since the early 80s.... Red stripe has always been pin1.
Re: LCD will not power on
HI, I've been facing the same issue. Assmbled printer excatly by pictures - lock oriented. After few attempts I've found that red stripe does not correspond to the lock orientation. And bingo - follow red stripe and ignore locks 😉 and it works. Complaints sent also to prusa.

The red stripe is on pin 10 and like Bill, I too have been building computers for 40 years and have mentioned this to PR on several occasions.
However the problem is that once the first printer with this issue was shipped and the manual was written, it became impossible to correct, so we have to look at the pictures and follow the instructions rather than following our knowledge...

I do not mind red stripe side (left, right side, #of pin). The problem is that cabel cannot be twisted. And that's the problem. Fortunately board have not burned out.
Re: LCD will not power on
thanks for your posts. I was lining up pin one with the red stripe because of years of computer building. I didnt look closely at the pictures to see they are lining up pin 10 with the red stripe. is that how they do it in europe?
