Is this first layer good?
Hi everyone,
I finished building my Prusa i3 MK2S kit today and I finished the calibration with "ok, everything perpendicular"
Now after running the v2Calibration I have adjusted the live z adjust to -0.525 mm.
This looks good to me, but since I haven't printed any objects yet I can't really tell.
Here is the first layer of the Prusa logo. Does this look ok?
Thanks everyone!!
Re: Is this first layer good?
that first layer looks good to me.
what's it like if you take it off the bed and look at the other side?
it should be nice and smooth,

Re: Is this first layer good?
yes, looks quite good so far.
take it off from the printbed and check if it's "in one piece" (no single strains).
if you got the opportunity: measure the thickness of the little foil that you've printed. if it's 0.20mm (+/- 0.01mm), you're bang on.
dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...
Re: Is this first layer good?
The back is 100% smooth. I will measure the thickness when I get home. But I think I will try out your calibration method @JeffJordan 🙂
I will post some pictures later today!

it seems that you've managed to get your first layer adjustment with the v2-calibration.gcode very well, so the rest will be some kind of fine-tuning.
