Hot end not heating up past 115

So my mk2s has been working fine for a while now but I started having an issue where the LCD does not read the hot end heating past 115°C and I get a preheat error and cannot do anything. Hoping someone could steer me in the right direction for how to fix this.

It sounds like the thermistor attached to the hotend is not securely in place with the small set screw.

If that thermistor is not mechanically touching the hotend it will read lower than the actual temp, and the printer will overheat trying to compensate.

(It could also be a loose connection on the wires that come out of that thermistor, where the wires are getting crimped due to bad wire routing. If this is the case they will break and the thermistor needs to be replaced. It is inexpensive.)

Thermistor looked rather worse for wear so I ordered one. Hopefully that will solve it thank you for the suggestion!

Hoping to get more help, I replaced the thermistor and it still is not working properly. I've waited a couple weeks for a response from prusa directly but haven't gotten anything.

Grasping at straws.

1) Is PSU (power supply) switch set to your power level (210 or 120)
2) Fuses ok on Rambo board?
3) Connector on the heat element all connected without resistance?

Voltage is 110, fuses are ok, and I ordered a new hot end from e3d but still nothing past about 110°C. Really don't know what to try here.

I bumped the power supply voltage up to 12.4 as some users had luck with that fixing heating issues, now the Rambo is not powering on. Feeling like a genius.
