Heatbed temperature calibration?

Hi,
I already made PID tuning for my extruder and the fluctuations are gone now.
But I also measured the temperature on the heatbed - and it tends to stay 3-5 degrees below the value shown (e.g. display shows 55°C, I measure 50°C).

I found, that there's also a heatbed calibration available in Marlin:
M303 E-1 S60 c8

My question: Is this possible on the MK2S as well?

I searched the forum and the internet in general, but I didn't find a reliable answer.

Thank you!

Yes. Apply the settings using M304.

Re: Heatbed temperature calibration?

Jeff, peter: thank you - I was able to calibrate the heatbed.
One remark: I tuned the heatbed at 100° which is correct now (100° = 100°). When I do use lower temps (like 55° for PLA), there's still a difference of 5° (55° on the display = 50° on the heatbed).

And: It took way longer than calibrating the extruder

Re: Heatbed temperature calibration?

Yes, there will be; you need to calibrate the different temps.

This is why I include the various PID values in slicer gcode (related to the material used).

Re: Heatbed temperature calibration?

You mean, you send the M301/M304 command at the beginning of your gcode to the printer?
Good idea! Is it necessary to store them with M500 also (as part of the "preprocessing" gcode?)

Re: Heatbed temperature calibration?

No it's not necessary to store them in E^2

Here's an example of my start GCode:

; Prefix G-Code
T<EXT+0>
M201 X1500 Y1500 E900 ; set default acceleration
M301 P23.14 I1.78 D75.12 ; set PD for extruder heater
M304 P56.09 I2.39 D328.54 ; set PID for bed heater
G21 ; set units to millimeters
G90 ; use absolute coordinates
