Get Rid of Temp Calibration Message
Anyone know how to get rid of the Temp Calibration message? I believe its the one that calibrates bed and PINDA. I accidentally started to run it and now the prompt comes up with power cycle or octoprint connections. I have my mesh bed leveling to warm up bed with PINDA away and then calibrate before every print, to prevent PINDA warm up.
Re: Get Rid of Temp Calibration Message
never seen such a temp calibration message before !
as you accidentially ran into the temp calibration routine: did you fully completed it (lasts more than 1/2 hour) ? or did you simply reset or switch off your printer ?

How would you calibrate temperature?
How could you verify that the measurements are accurate?

that's the key question.
in my opinion the temperature calbration is some kind of red herring.
they (prusa) place the nozzle and the p.i.n.d.a. very close to the printbed, heat the bed up at a high temperature for about 10 minutes or so, and measure the height at which the probe triggers at that temperature. they do this with different temperatures.
you'll then gain the knowledge at which temperature the probe triggers at which height.
but this really doesn't help you, because you don't know the exact temperature of the probe ! there is no temperature sensor located at the probe.

Re: Get Rid of Temp Calibration Message
Aha, now I see, this is about calibrating the PINDA probe response in relation to different temperatures.
I thought it was about the hotend temperature.
Re: Get Rid of Temp Calibration Message
I canceled it after selection so never calibrated but now this message pops up constantly 🙁
Re: Get Rid of Temp Calibration Message
Try going back to Calibration -> Temp Cal and turn the whole feature off. If it still bugs you about the missing calibration, i guess you'll have to complete the calibration procedure. Just get it started and check back half an hour later.
I think this whole thing is "a bit" buggy. Ever since i turned it on, i cannot Live Adjust-Z anymore..

Well, it is doing something.. Ever since i switched it on, i got consistent results on the first layer. Without that feature, my Z-offset is not stable. With it on it really is consistent - but poor.. I am going to try a couple of ore days but i think i'll just go back to parking my nozzle at Z=201mm during heating up extruder & bed.
Re: Get Rid of Temp Calibration Message
maybe it's required to run through the calibration process completely, after you started them once, to get rid of the nagging message ?

Re: Get Rid of Temp Calibration Message
If I calibrate it though will it change how I need to do my print z calibration? I have my bed heat up with the probe away and then it calibrated before each print.
Re: Get Rid of Temp Calibration Message
You can turn this new "step" during the beginning of a print on and off as you please. That's why idea was: finish the caliibration once, this hopefully clears the error message and after that turn this whole Temp Calibration feature off and ignore it till Prusa had some more time to tweak it.

Didn't know I could disable it after. Thank you!
Re: Get Rid of Temp Calibration Message
If i recall correctly, Its the last menu item when you're inside the Calibration > Temp Calibration menu at the printer. Options are on and off.
