First layer will not stick

Just finished installing the prusa i3 mk2s kit (finally). However I'm having tough luck getting the first layer to stick. I did al the pretests and calibrations prior getting to print my first layer calibration. I tried cleaning the bed with alcohol, acetone and putting glue before printing to see if it sticks with no luck. Any tips? Thanks !

welcome pedro ❗

look here... and leave a comment at the thread if it worked for you or not. otherwise the thread always drops out of sight for the new users.

by the way, the last version (v4) of the little calibration surface is posted at the 4th site of the thread.
but it's recommended to read the thread as well... to understand how you'll find the correct adjustment level for z.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

Thanks for the quick reply. I will test as soon as I get home. I can't wait to start printing.

I calibrated the live Z Settings using your method and my prints came out great. Thanks a lot for your help and suggestions. I have another question. Do I need to calibrate my printer every time I turn it off? Can I leave the printer on even if it's not printing?

The setting is retained using the v4 calibration square. It will be lost if you do a full reset. Not hard to remember because you are prompted to redo all of the initial calibrations after a reset.
