Fine tuning print sizes on mk2s

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the sizes of prints so they achieve a more accurate size? Traditionally i am used to adding offsets on CNC's but i am not sure how to get diameters etc more accurate on a printer? I see some parts been + pr - .15 and im hoping i can get it closer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mick

Assuming you are using Slic3r, check out:

Print Settings -> Advanced -> X Y Size Compensation

The distance each axis travels is controlled by the steps per mm setting in firmware. To adjust the dimensions of your prints you would need to change the steps per mm in the source files and recompile with Arduino before flashing the generated file to your printer.

Download the source files from the link on the right of the http://www.prusa3d.com/drivers page near the Firmware heading, and don't forget to get the RAMBO add on from the top right of the page.

What to change the settings to can be calculated by dividing the intended size by the actual size and them multiplying the current steps per mm by the result of that calculation.

This may have to be repeated several times to get 100% accuracy and you will need to reapply the changes to any future firmware upgrades.

OR

You can use aaron.s5 solution - which I just learned about by typing this reply - much simpler.

Fantastic, Thankyou very much. I saw this feature and wondered if it was for this.
