Fine calibrating print bed / G80

Hello all

My kit has been assembled late December and everything is going quite well. I've been able to successfully print small and medium objects with PLA and ABS.

Now I'm beginning to print multiple objects and larger prints and use the outer parts of my heatbed.
If i had problems with adhesion, I could always solve the issue with live Z. So i downloaded the following to fully calibrate my heatbed:

The situation is this on the edges:
Left = squished (good)
Center = gets thinner not squished anymore
Right = very bad

So i though i'd use the i3 mk2 bed correction (Calibrations> bed correction)
i put in
Left 50
Right -50

but i can't see a difference.

So i reset the correction in the i3 mk2 and modified the G80 in the start of the Gcode in Slic3r before sending it to Octoprint:
G80 L100 R-100 ;

But i cannot find any difference visually, what am i doing wrong?

For the 1st layer:

-Decrease the speed down to 30%
-Increase extrude rate to 110%
-Increase bed temp to 65c

I also add a 8mm brim when slicing.

Try lowering your live Z by .025 mm and see how that works. Leave the bed correction factors the same.

I solved the problem..

I was messing with G Codes in slic3r, I was sending a G28 after the printer did G80 so it reset all the PINDA results and live -z and bed correction weren't taking effect at all.... I hope someone gets saved a lot of headache because of this.

The reason i did it was because i didn't like the dots of melted PLA that get on the heatbed when the mk2 does the probing. So i let the heatbed heat up and rech temperature, then do mesh bed leveling (G80) then while doing the G80 let the Extruder heat up. At the end of the probing i lift the z axis to 20 and let it reach the temperature. After that i sent G28 to get the Z axis down because i wasn't sure what value was safe to do the intro line. My guess its 0.

After all this, my bed correction is 0 for all areas and the calibration print is perfect.

I have a similar problem with the bottom right corner of my heatbed being significantly higher than the rest. Would you mind sharing the start G-code you have included in your Slic3r profile?

I have a similar problem with the bottom right corner of my heatbed being significantly higher than the rest. Would you mind sharing the start G-code you have included in your Slic3r profile?

That seems to be a more common issue now than it should be. I have 2 printers, one has a high front right, the other a high rear right. You have to ensure that the nozzle does not touch the bed when doing the 9-point calibration.

Just an FYI when you do the calibration for bed leveling. First focus on the dead center of the printer and get that printing the way it should. After that, then start doing the bed leveling from there. Center only has Live Z to make adjustments.

Glad you figured out your gcode issue. I don't mess with gcode, so that would have stumped me for a long time.
