Filament Jam
Just had my Prusa for a couple of months now and am a complete novice at 3D printers.
Right now the extruder is completely jammed with filament. I was following the guide at help.prusa3D.com/clogged-nozzle. Under "Needle Through the Nozzle Exit" I was able to push the needle up a little more than 25 cm. It would go no further - actually bent the needle. According to the drawings of the E3D-v6 extruder it looks like it stopped right at the top of the heater block. Moving on to the "Cold Pull Method", I could not get the filament to move down or up. I pulled a little too hard and broke the filament off about 1 cm below the top of the PTFE tubing.
I was using the filament that came with the printer. I have, however, used other filament.
What do you suggest, replace the nozzle, the PTFE tubing, replace both, or replace the extruder?
Thanks
Re: Filament Jam
Spare nozzle is always useful. New ptfe will do no harm. New extruder probably not required.
