Fan stopped working mid-print, seems ok now
I was printing a larger/detailed model, so I left it working overnight. When I woke up in the morning, the results were spectacular:
At first, I thought that slicer made some huge mistake or that the gcode didn't write properly on to the SD card. I've tried printing the same model again, but this time, it failed even sooner. I've sliced the model with another program, rotated it differently (maybe the supports were strange) and tried again. Nope, still the same, the plastic was very soft and the nozzle was bending it down on every pass. This is when I suspected the fan (probably didn't sooner because the first layer was taking a long time and the fan is normally off then).
Anyway, I saw that the fan wasn't spinning, so I went into the Tune menu and sure enough, the fan was supposed to be at full speed (I think it was 255). I've checked the cables, connections etc., all ok. Then I tried spinning the blades myself and it suddenly came back to life. I've stopped the print, started another one and the fan seems to be working now.
Any ideas? Should I change the fan just in case?

My first guess would have been some lose connector or broken wire for the fan. But since you already checked that this isn't case, I guess I would just get a new fan. You can get spare fans from e3d-online.com ( http://e3d-online.com/E3D-v6/Spares/30x30x10mm-12v-DC-Fan ) or their distributors around the world probably faster and with less shipping costs than from Prusa directly.

Thanks for your reply Stephan. I'm sorry, but I forgot to mention that it wasn't the extruder fan, but the radial fan for the nozzle.
I've been printing with it for the last 2 days now and it seems to be ok, starts up every time. I'll likely order a new one just in case, because obviously something was wrong with it.
