Fan Nozzle broke loose
Hi there,
I just got a small clodge at my nozzle and during removing, the fan nozzle (that's the stl file) broke loose, including the small part of the extruder cover (?) the screw gets into. Is it that bad to print for a while without the cover? Replacing the extruder seems to take a while and I at least have to print the cover itself...?
Bests,

Re: Fan Nozzle broke loose
you could glue the part back on to the extruder cover, with acetone

Re: Fan Nozzle broke loose
Sounds good, thanks 🙂
Though it's mainly a small part around the screw, so it might be too less area for blueing.
Re: Fan Nozzle broke loose
I tried to glue it today, but it's relly just the one small part keeping the screw (see the attached foto) so neither with acetone nor with super glue i can get it to hold. It always breaks again, when I'm screing back on the fan nozzle, sorry the image is a little blurry.
I think I have to reprint the front cover and take apart all the extruder (bought the complete one, not the kit, so that might really take some time for me to figure out how that all works).
Re: Fan Nozzle broke loose
Today I reprinted the part – the fan nozzle fits perfectly 🙂 and I will try to replace the part next week.
Still, printing ABS (that does not use the front fan) still seems to work fine.
