Failing Y axis motor?

Hi,

I'm having troubles with my printer sometimes having a major Y-axis shift during a print. The Y axis motor seems to bind a little at a couple of places. The belt doesn't slip on the pulleys, it just binds.

How do I order a replacement motor?

Thanks
Erik

Re: Failing Y axis motor?

Check the motor pulley. There should be a couple of millimetres between the pulley and the motor body.

If you need to move the pulley to the left (from front of printer), you will also have to move the motor to the right to maintain alignment.

Additionally you should check if it is the motor that binds or the bearings.
