Extruder/Hotend PTFE tube length

Hello,

today the extruder of my MK2s clogged. After dissasembling it, I destroyed the PTFE tube. Could some please give me the correct length of it?

Thank you very much 🙂

Regards, Peter

Edit: I found a picture with a length of 41mm, tested it but it is to short. I have not enough tube to add millimeter by millimeter 😉

Best regards, Peter

That is for the MMU.

What you need to do is to load the tube in the hot end and lock it in place, then estimate where to cut based on lining the extruder up in the carriage. Allow 4 to 5mm extra and cut off.

Insert extruder into carriage and cut off any excess.

very good advice.
I don't think that somebody is willing to disassemble the hotend of his printer, just to measure the exact length of the ptfe tube and post it here.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

Jeff

It's exactly how I used to do it with Mk1 (Lite6 - needed PTFE replacing quite often) and single feed Mk2.

Dear all,

I did it with trial and error. In the end, 50 mm PTFE tube length did the job.

Thank you very much, Peter
