Extruder Fan Voltage? Fan not working
The fan that came in my recently ordered kit is not functioning I made it about 20 minutes into the test print and then the i3 stopped extruding, the gear was turning but the filament wasn't being extruded. I was able to reverse the direction of the extruder in Prontface then reload the filament after that the nozzle would start extruding again but only for about 30-45 seconds. After searching online I saw it might be my extruder nozzle overheating and I noticed the fan was not working. I then made sure the polarity was right on the fan and it was. I removed the fan from the RamBo board and tested it with 3 and 5 volts and it was not working I didn't want to test 12 volts until I knew how many volts the fan is. If you could get the voltage information for the 25x25x10mm extruder fan so I can order a replacement, I am comfortable soldering new connectors. Also if you know the voltage that should be coming out of the board so I can check it with my multimeter.
Re: Extruder Fan Voltage? Fan not working
Hi, the fan is 12V, let me know if it will work from external PSU.
Re: Extruder Fan Voltage? Fan not working
I just checked the fan at 12 volts on an external PSU and still not working I will order a replacement today. Thank you for the information.

Re: Extruder Fan Voltage? Fan not working
I got my replacement fan and soldered it in. Everything is running great now, I have completed 3 prints.
Thank you
