Dump question. Is it possible for me to create Prusa i3 without purchasing the kit
HI
I was searching for long and not getting any information that can lead to making Prusa i3. printer kit is too expensive for me and shipping that to Kuwait is too difficult as there are some restrictions in Kuwait to ship 3d printer ( As expact).
Is there any way I can create Prusa from printing parts and cutting the frame on laser,

i saw on dxf file for the frame : https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-i3/blob/MK2S/Printed-Parts/scad/FRAME_MK2.dxf
and the stil files for printed parts,
is that enough or complete parts list to start with?

Hi Ben,
The Prusa i3 is Open source, so you should be able to source all of the parts to build a Mk2 should be available from other suppliers
however when you add up all of the costs and the individual postages your overall cost my be comparative to the original kit...
search for Haribo printer this is a home brew version of the prusa... there may be others...

i cannot buy kit as i have mentioned earlier . and the person who is giving me laset cut is not charging anything for that, that will be kind of free,
and for the printed parts, i can print it locally (bit expensive, but not equal to kit)
So could you please point the right files for 3d print and laser cut?

Also, i saw "Haribo printer" that uses aluminum profilers and that is not available in this country. search almost all hardware shops, everyone is saying " we can ship the item, but you need to pay extra"

To be honest, the manufacturer's forum probably isn't the best place to look for this info..
