Displayed/reported temperatures
Hello,
When my printer is powered on after 24 hours shutdown, the temperatures for the bed and the hotend are both 10 degrees over the room temperature. Shouldn't they be at the same temp.?
Temps reported are identical, either from the lcd display or from Octoprint.

Same here. I think (and IMHO I read about it here) that 31 something degrees is the minimum the printer will show/measure,

Re: Displayed/reported temperatures
Because both thermistors are NTC type, they can tend to become rather inaccurate at temperatures lower than 20 to 25 degrees.
Having said that, mine are pretty accurate at 18 degrees, so could well be manufacturing tolerance.

Re: Displayed/reported temperatures
Peter,
Would you expect this inaccuracy to diminish/disappear at higher temperatures, or to remain stable over the thermistors range? I am not equipped to measure temperatures in realtime.
Thanks for the explanation,

The thermistors are, I believe rated to about 3% accuracy (or less) within their primary operating range - for the extruder thermistor 100 to 200 degrees.

Re: Displayed/reported temperatures
Measured with an infrared termometer the high temps seem to be quite ok.
