Creak sound coming from x-axis idler side

So I recently built my MK2S and have had this freaking sound coming from x-axis idler side. Not sure if it’s the bearing that’s bad or something else.

Here is a video showing the sound. You can REALLY hear it at the end when I get real close.

Seems like it is because your belt is riding the pulley's edge. Make sure the belt is seated properly in its clip first and go from there.

I am building a mk3 and having the same issue. When assembling the X-axis, I noticed the belt does not ride in the center of the idler and floats from one side to the other as the carriage moves. I cannot pull the belt out far enough in the X-carriage. I suspect this is due to the idler bearing being out of square to the assembly. It needs to be adjustable. I think geoffrey.m2 has the right idea here:

This was happening to me so I remixed the Prusa x-axis idler:

So far, so good.

I was actually able to fix it by doing what this guy did:

I basically moved the x axis belt more towards the back and not flush with the extruder carrier assembly and the noise went away. It was basically the belt pushing up against the side of the x axis idler bearing and the bearing pushing up against the ridges of the 3d printed x axis idler assembly.
