Clumps of Filament when printing?
Hi all.
Was wondering if anyone else gets like a clump of filament when printing?
I'm running a print right now and looked back and noticed that it was printing great then this:
Thinking it might be a setting to tweak for the heating of the nozzle? maybe? lol
Other then that hopefully it won't do the x axis skip today....
Also noticed that I have firmware 2.2.0. Think i need to update to 2.2.1 just in case too.
Thanks
Re: Clumps of Filament when printing?
Hi Scott
This usually happens if the nozzle is not tight enough.
You need to heat up to temperature, leave for a couple of minutes and then tighten it up. See the "Hot-Tightening" section here: http://wiki.e3d-online.com/wiki/E3D-Lite6_Assembly
You may need to dismantle the extruder to clean out the excess leaked plastic first, although hopefully this won't be necessary.

Ah hmm missed that step! lol
Thank you very much Peter!
Re: Clumps of Filament when printing?
Gave it a twist or two.
Now printing the batman file to make sure I didn't mess anything else up while tightening the nozzle.
Edit: Well the batman printed just fine.
Now doing a 2x2 Floor Tile and seeing how that goes...
