Changing Z-axis causes mesh bed calibration to fail

Hey everyone

So I just got my printer yesterday and assembled everything. All of the calibrations except the mesh leveling worked, and the mesh leveling failed on the last (9th) calibration point. I got the error message Bed leveling failed. Sensor disconnected or cable broken. Waiting for reset. so I contacted support. After support couldn't diagnose the issue and me pulling my hair out with my first 3D printer, I figured that the sensor is REALLY sensitive to the printer shaking. So I held the printer frame after doing the next mesh level calibration, and it worked that time.

Is there any way to dampen the Z-axis vibration that is generated during this step? I'm guessing since it goes up and down really fast, that's what causes the issue.

During the whole debugging process I ended up:

  • Flashing firmware again

  • Factory reset

  • Adjusted the PINDA both up and down by many different degrees

  • Checked connectors
